Surf Coast & Online Naturopathic Clinic

Kahwana Health offers personalised 1:1 Naturopathic consultations for women, men & children, specialising in skin health, hormonal balance, vaginal health, supporting both acute and long-term concerns.

Our Clinical Naturopaths work with conditions including acne, eczema, psoriasis, PMS/PMDD, heavy periods, menopause, high cholesterol, bacterial vaginosis, thrush, chronic UTIs, aerobic vaginitis,  food intolerances, sleep difficulties, and immune health.

At Kahwana Health, we embody an evidence based “test, do not guess” approach ensuring every treatment plan is guided by comprehensive testing including pathology, hormone panels, microbiome stool analysis and/or vaginal microbiome testing. This allows us to move beyond symptom management and focus on identifying and addressing the true root cause of health concerns.

Step 1: What conditions do we treat?

We support gut health by utilising comprehensive case taking alongside advanced stool microbiome testing to assess the balance of beneficial and pathogenic bacteria, gut diversity, inflammation markers and overall digestive function, allowing for targeted and individualised treatment plans.

Common gut conditions we treat include: â€‹â€‹

  • Constipation & diarrhoea

  • Bloating & gas

  • Parasites, candida & worms

  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

  • Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)

  • Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth

  • Food intolerances & sensitivities (e.g. lactose, gluten)

Supporting thyroid health is a key focus at Kahwana Health. We take a deeper approach to understanding what may be driving thyroid imbalance — exploring internal factors such as nutrient deficiencies, stress physiology, gut health, inflammation and autoimmune activity. This allows for a more complete picture of thyroid function, rather than simply managing symptoms in isolation.

Common thyroid conditions we treat include: â€‹â€‹

  • Hypothyroidism

  • Hashimoto’s thyroiditis management

  • Hyperthyroidism

  • Graves’ management

  • Pre-diabetes & Type 2 Diabetes

  • Metabolic Syndrome

  • Insulin resistance

Step 2: How does it work?

Getting started is simple. We've made the process easy so you feel informed and supported from the very first interaction — no confusion, no overwhelm.

1. Book your free clarity call

This 15-minute phone or Zoom call is your opportunity to share what's been going on with your health, ask any questions you have, and get a feel for whether we're the right fit for you.

We'll talk through your health history, what you've already tried, and what you're hoping to achieve — helping to identify the potential drivers behind your symptoms and the gaps that need to be addressed.

From there, we'll guide you on any pathology testing worth organising before your first appointment, so you arrive informed and ready to go.

This call is completely free.

2. Book your Initial Naturopathy Consultation

Feeling off but not sure why? Want to finally understand your recent blood work? Looking to improve your energy, sleep, hormones or just your overall health? This is where it starts.

Your initial consultation is a 60 minute, evidence-based exploration of your health. We'll look at every body system: digestion, immunity, energy and hormones alongside your symptoms, medical and family history, lifestyle, diet, stress and sleep.

If you have existing blood test results, we'll walk you through them in detail, explaining what's high, what's low and what it may mean for how you're feeling.

From there, we'll build a tailored treatment plan covering dietary guidance, supplement recommendations, lifestyle support and a full pathology breakdown, with access to practitioner-only products where appropriate.

3. Book your Follow up Naturopathy Consultation (Existing clients only)

During your follow up consultation, we’ll review your progress, discuss any new or ongoing symptoms, and adjust your treatment plan as needed.

This is also a time to review recent test results, interpret labs through optimal naturopathic ranges, and update your prescriptions or supplements.

Regular check-ins every four to six weeks help ensure your treatment continues to align with your body’s needs and evolving health goals.

For long-term conditions or deeper healing work, it often takes several months to address all contributing factors and achieve lasting change.

Step 3: Meet our Clinical

Naturopath & Founder Gemma

Gemma is a degree-qualified Clinical Naturopath with a deep passion for skin health, hormonal balance, vaginal health and paediatric care, supporting women and children to understand and reconnect with their bodies.

She works with a wide range of conditions including acne, eczema, psoriasis, PMS, PMDD, heavy periods, bacterial vaginosis, thrush, chronic UTIs and aerobic vaginitis.
Our Clinical Naturopaths interpret your pathology results, functional testing, clinical signs, symptoms, diet and lifestyle to deliver a treatment plan that truly meets you where you are.

We connect the dots.
